A Boutique Study Program the Nordics hosted personally by the Filmmaker. 

Come with us on an inspiring journey and opportunity to observe and learn about the novel types of care programs available to Nordic children. On the three day group program we will be visiting Forest and Nature Kindergartens, Adventure Playgrounds /Junk Playgrounds, Farm and Nature playscapes for a broad and diverse look at the many publicly supported opportunities for the Nordic children across different municipalities.


During the course, participants will have the opportunity to meet with educators, program coordinators, and leaders to learn about the best practices and approaches used in these settings and to understand Nordic pedagogical practice with its child centered focus on WELL BEING.

You can inquire about an existing course date or pick your own dates during the school calendar year and we can set up a course around your schedule, matching you with other interested persons to make a group course. We are not available on school holidays. See a sample school calendar here:

Private programs /site visits are also available tailored to your interests and timing.


A private virtual screening of NaturePlay film, study guide, reflection journal and Certificate of Nordic Model Course completion are provided for multi- day courses.


Obtain Professional Development hours that meets NESA criteria. We can work with you to help meet the PD requirements in your area.

We offer several different experiential programs:

  • 3 day and 5 day site visits to Forest Kindergartens / Adventure Playgrounds / Natural Playscapes.

  • Aftercare Klub programs: 

  • Natural Playscapes and Alternative Playground Design

  • The Nordic Pedagogical Approach in Early Years Education

  • Tailored experiences including Cultural sites, Udeskole and Friluftsliv environments.

  • Group (3+ ) and Private Tours (1-2 persons)

These programs are geared towards educators, policy makers and change makers who wish to make a difference in the lives of children. 

In the Nordic children's environments their main focus is on preserving and enhancing the child's experience, so allowing visits is a rare and special privilege arranged through our relationships and history with the local population.
